What You Should Include on Your Wedding Invitation

17/4/2023

The wedding invitation is one of the most important parts of your big day. It's your first chance to attract guests and get them excited about joining you in celebration.

That's why it's so important that your wedding invitation is well-designed and includes all the information guests need to make an informed decision about whether or not they can attend.

Names - Don't Forget Them

The bride's name goes first, followed by her husband-to-be's name. If you include your parents' names on the invitation, they'll be listed below those of your future in-laws.

The Location

If you're having a destination wedding, you'll need to include the name of your venue. But even if you're planning on getting married in a city or town that is familiar to most people, it's still important to include this information in your invitation. You want guests who don't live in close proximity to be able to make arrangements ahead of time so they have time to plan out travel logistics and accommodations once they get there (if necessary).

The Date and Time

You'll want to make sure that the time of day is included on your invitation, not just the date. If people are travelling to your wedding from outside of Ireland, you should also put the time zone on the invitation.

The Dress Code

A few examples of dress codes include:
Black Tie Optional
Cocktail Attire (Cocktail Dresses and Suits)
Black Tie Preferred (Black Tuxedos with White Shirts and Black Bowties for Men, and Dresses Appropriate for Formal Events for Women)
Casual

The Wedding Website

You can do this in one of two ways: either include a link to your wedding website or put the address on the invitation itself. You can also include links to other sites that may be helpful, such as your registry (if you're doing one) and social media pages if you want people to be able to follow you there.

RSVP Information

Your wedding invitation should include a response card or box so that guests know how to respond. You may want to include a deadline for responding, too, especially if you're counting on an accurate guest count.

With so many details to remember and so much planning to accomplish, it can be easy for the little things to fall by the wayside. But don't forget about the importance of your wedding invitations! They're one of the first things guests will expect leading up to your wedding, and they'll want something that not only looks great but also conveys all of this important information clearly. So take some time now to make sure you get it right; then sit back and enjoy all the other fun parts about wedding planning!

The Best Dublin Wedding Tips

The Best Dublin Wedding Tips

The best part about Dublin is that you can still find some of the charms you'd expect from an Irish village. Dublin has something for every event and every wedding.

Here are some of the best tips for planning your Dublin-based wedding.

Getting Vendors

Dublin has a lot to offer when it comes to planning your perfect day. There are so many choices for venues, accommodation, and transportation that it can be overwhelming. Here are some of our favorite vendors in Dublin:

Wedding Videography:
Reel Irish Wedding

Wedding Photographers:

Pawel Bebenca Photography

Wedding Venues:

National Gallery of Ireland

Getting married in Ireland is an experience like no other. You can find great places to get married in Dublin; there are also options for those who want something more exotic. For example:

Galway Bay Hotel & Spa - Galway
Four Seasons Hotel Dublin at Powerscourt Estate - Wicklow Mountains
Ashford Castle - Mayo (Northwest)

The Most Important Details

The two most important factors when planning a Dublin wedding are location and timing. These are the things that set the tone for the day, so it's important to get them right!

The location of your wedding can be as simple or as elaborate as you want. You can choose one of Dublin's many outdoor spots, like parks or gardens, or use one of its many beautiful buildings that have been converted into hotels and event spaces.

Wedding season runs from April through September, with August being the busiest month due to its favourable weather conditions (this means fewer rainy days).

Don't be afraid to go off-season for your Dublin wedding. During the off-season, venues are more likely to offer deals and discounts.

Do Your Research

In order to ensure a stress-free and smooth-running wedding day, it's important to plan ahead. You want to make sure you have enough time for planning when selecting your date.

Trust the Locals

Dublin locals know best when planning a wedding. Check out local online forums, check with friends that might live in the area, or hire a wedding planner from Dublin to help you navigate this unique city.

No matter what you do, just remember to have fun and enjoy the day! It's your big day, so take all of the time you need to plan it.
