Wedding Videographers have long been a part of the wedding industry With some companies even going back as far as 30-40 years, with their old ‘broadcast’ style cameras and let’s say, fairly dated approaches to wedding videography much different to as we all know it now.
Over the previous couple of years, the increase of couples having a marriage film has been huge. More and more couples are considering how beneficial having a marriage film could also be as a keepsake of their day , in any case the dust as settled.
With this increased demand, comes a rise in wedding videography options, as many new videographers plan to take up wedding videography as a career path – resulting in many styles and approaches being available to couples. As in any case , within the majority, each Videographer is different in their approach and the way they might wish to present their films.
One common myth that we’d like to debunk here at Perfect Moment Films though, is that certain videographers can only ‘film’ or ‘edit’ in certain styles.
For example, tons of our films are narrative driven, as for us telling the story of your day may be a huge a part of what we aim to realize and therefore the use of narrative from the day, may be a fantastic aid to assist us do that . Does this mean that we will only film and edit like this? Heck NO! in fact it doesn’t. tons of the time, the rationale our films are presented this manner , is because future clients see samples of this on our website or Facebook or Instagram and express they might love that approach for his or her own wedding film.
It doesn’t mean that we can’t film during a more ‘upbeat’ fashion or edit during a film during a way that's more ‘fun’ and ‘energetic’ than what our films are usually like, due to course we can!
Many Videographers are ready to adapt their filming to suit in line with their clients requests. So if a client comes along and asks for a more upbeat and fun wedding film, then more often than not, this is often easily achievable and may often be a pleasant change for the videographers themselves, if tons of their work is more keep with a special style.
Here are a couple of samples of where we’ve let our hair down and edited upbeat sections for a couple of of our clients:
As you'll see, we certainly are often fun too and this is often presumably the case for several videographers out there, who may are discarded as an option by a client (or even a marriage planner) within the past, supported their usual sort of filming.
A good quality videographer has many strings to their bow and may easily adapt to supply a top quality film in many various styles. Please don’t fall for the common myth simply because the bulk of their films are edited during a certain way.
You may well just be surprised.
Bride prep is a neighborhood we cover as standard in our wedding films and may show the bride at her most beautiful. it had been key we reached bent someone as experienced as we to urge her combat it all.
Below we breaks her recommendations on what you'll do to seem your best:
Before the marriage day
Stay organised, stress is visible in face and hair. confirm you haven’t left any a part of the day to be finalised on the day itself. Confirm with suppliers within the days running up thereto that everything remains on target .
Get pampered, massage, facials, steam and eat healthy. These will help your skin and hair glow on the day and rid the body of poisons which can be causing imperfections.
Stick to products you recognize . Don’t drastically change your products because the last item you would like may be a reaction to a replacement ingredient to cause redness or swelling.
Getting ready the morning of
Set up a mirror and chair by the window. this manner your artist, videographer and photographer will have natural light. The structure are going to be shown within the right colour too.
A little thing i prefer doing whether I’m doing structure or not is to place rollers within the brides hair before the structure is started. Normally they assist with the hairstyle, but they also look great for the video. It helps create a way of what's happening within the moment.
Have a clean & moisturised face. Removing old structure within the morning may cause redness and dry skin later within the day.
If you wash your hair don’t leave it within the towel to dry. Doing so creates an excessive amount of heat, making your scalp oilier. It could end in your hairstyle not lasting the complete day.
Be yourself. If you're not wont to big hair and much of structure , confirm you invite a natural look. Have a glance you are feeling comfortable in. Video and photo deduct a number of the structure , so a touch of additional lashes, contour and blush could be necessary for you to not look washed out.
Keep the space you're having the makeup applied in clutter free. No sutitcases on the ground , underwear strewn around etc. Generally the tidier the space the higher it'll be to ascertain back on film.
During the day
Have a mini beauty kit prepared. Include: lipliner, lipstick, lipgloss, compact powder, a couple of hairpins, a little hairspray and tissues.
Remember if you cry, dab the tears away- don’t wipe. Let the videographer capture these moments- it’s great for creating the emotion of your wedding film
Most importantly – smile and luxuriate in your special day!
Be happy and it'll show on film.
