How to Incorporate Your Kids into Your Wedding It is becoming more and more common for couples to have children at their wedding. There are lots of ways that children can be incorporated into your nuptials without being disruptive or causing chaos for everyone involved. In fact, having little ones on hand can make things even more fun—and here are some ideas on how to incorporate them into all aspects of the ceremony and reception: Invite Your Kids to be Part of the Wedding Party Invite your kids to be part of the wedding party. They can take on the following roles: Flower girl Ring bearer Maid of honour Best man Have Them Walk You Down the Aisle You can have your children walk you down the aisle. This will make them feel like an important part of the ceremony and make all their friends jealous when they see that they get to do something special! If you are planning on doing this, make sure your wedding vendors, like your wedding videographer and photographer, know ahead of time to capture this sweet moment. Let Them Stand With Your During Your Vows Instead of having your kids hidden away at the back of the room, let them stand up with you during your vows. Your children can hold your rings, flowers, or bouquet as you exchange them with your spouse-to-be. They can also help hold up the officiant's bible when he says, "Do you take this man/woman...?" This will give everyone a chance to see how cute and supportive your children are. Plus, it makes for a great photo or videography opportunity!
